We are proud to announce that we have successfully advised Van De Velde Packaging on the Partnership with the Czech packaging producer Unipap A.S., a specialist in the production of industrial corrugated packaging and products made of foam.
THE PARTNERS
Unipap is a Czech family business that has been on the European market for more than 25 years. The company generated a revenue of approximately EUR 25 million in 2021 and is engaged in the production of industrial paper packaging, pallet boxes, group packaging, plastic-shaped inserts, fillers, fixation and wooden-pallets. Unipap’s philosophy is to provide clients more than other packaging manufacturers, namely a real and responsible partnership when providing packaging. A philosophy that matches perfectly with the vision of VDV Packaging. Unipap differentiates itself from other packaging manufacturers by always offering innovative packaging solutions, for a wide range of industries.
The Van De Velde Packaging Group is a manufacturer of ecological cardboard packaging. They have been supplying high quality packaging solutions in various sectors since 1939. Besides producing cardboard packaging the company also offers packaging machines. With this new acquisition VDV Packaging takes its first stept into the Czech market and the number of people working at the 19 plants of the group increases to 1700 FTE’s. Likewise, the group turnover grows to EUR 350 million.
OUR CONTRIBUTION
Sazun advised Van De Velde Packaging across all the steps of the transaction, including market research, the scouting of opportunities, valuation, the negotiation of the deal structure and the coordination of the due diligence, up to the final closing actions.
