New York Pizza Stückwerk

We are proud to announce that we have successfully advised New York Pizza, now a part of Orkla ASA, in acquiring the German pizza franchise Stückwerk, with a total of 32 outlets and EUR 19m in franchise sales.


THE PARTNERS

Stückwerk is one of the main players in the pizza delivery business in North Rhine-Westphalia. The company was founded in 2007 and represents 32 retail outlets. It is primarily known for its modernized delivery system, high-quality pizza and successful franchise model.

New York Pizza is one of the largest pizza franchisors in the Netherlands which strives through its broad presence of 268 retail outlets across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Recently 75% of New York Pizza was acquired by Orkla ASA, the leading supplier of branded consumer goods to the grocery, out-of-home and bakery sectors in Scandinavia, the Baltics, Central Europe and India. Orkla is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange, achieved sales of NOK 47.1 billion (~ EUR 4.6 billion) in 2020 and also owns the Finnish pizza delivery business with 289 locations operating across the country.


OUR CONTRIBUTION

Sazun advised New York Pizza across all the steps of the transaction, including market research the scouting of opportunities, valuation, the negotiation of the deal structure and the coordination of the due diligence up to the final closing actions.
